About Us

The Open Burma Foundation, founded by Suan Muan Thang, is an independent group working for justice, freedom, child education, youth leadership, mobile health, democratic governance, equality and human rights in Myanmar. We provide information, seminars, conferences and trainings every year through a network of national and regional offices Myanmar.


We are volunteers and not funded by any organizations or governments.

Since 2001, Open Burma foundation has been in the battle for the rights of persecuted minorities around Myanmar. It has come to the aid of few hundreds of suffering men, women and children through the distribution of food, water, medicine, clothing, educational supplies in Myanmar.

OBF also assist mobile clinics, orphanage schools in Myanmar and refugee camps, centers and other private schools in Myanmar.
